Policies & Fees
Please note these Sweet Life Coaching policies for my professional coaching services. New policies may be added and these may be modified over time.
ICF Ethics - I commit to upholding the International Coach Federation ethical standards. The ICF coaching profession standards govern the coach and guard both the coaching client and the coach. If at any time, either client or coach feels the coaching relationship does not meet the high ethical standards defined by the International Coach Federation, the coach will end the coaching relationship with respect, in service to the client's best interests.
Payment for Coaching: Payment for coaching must arrive in advance of coaching for that month. Payments may either be by PayPal or by check to the listed business address. If a coaching payment is late, then coaching will occur once payment is received. This policy honors both the client's integrity and the coach's business requirements.
Cancellations/Rescheduling: The Coach and the Client are required to cancel appointments with a minimum of 24-hour notice, and by phone if the 24-hour deadline is close or has passed. Failure to notify the coach of cancellation of less than 24-hours results in a paid session without rescheduling privileges, except for the rare emergency. If the Coach cancels with less than 24-hours, the client will receive a free coaching session in addition to rescheduling the one missed.
Monthly Fees/Monthly Coaching: Fees paid for the month are for that month's coaching. The client is responsible for scheduling the number of sessions within the month for which he/she has paid. In the event an unusual situation arises where the coach is unavailable for two weeks in a month, fees may be used to cover the next month's coaching. Holdovers cease the second month.
Refunds: Coaching refunds are not offered, except in rare circumstances. Coach and client will reference ICF ethics.
Terminating Coaching: The client may terminate coaching at any time. However, refunds will not be given for termination unless an unusual event has occurred (noted above). In any other circumstance, a one to two week notice of intention to terminate by either party is recommended, but not required.
Coaching Limitations/Benefits: Coaching is not therapy nor an advising role. The coach is not a lawyer, financial adviser, nor a trained counselor, psychologist or psychiatrist. Coaching is about supporting and encouraging a client's responsibility to identify his/her life goals and to take action to accomplish them. Any and all decisions are the client's free will and responsibility. If at any time the coach feels the client's needs would be better served in a different coaching partnership or in a therapeutic relationship, the coach will make that recommendation. The coaching will end if that occurs.
Confidentiality: The client's confidentiality is of utmost importance to the coach and the coaching relationship. No information shared with the coach will be shared with other individuals, except in the rare situation where there is a legal requirement to do so (e.g.,subpoena, lawsuit) or when the coach believes the client is a danger to self, to others including children or in obvious breach of the law. The coach seeks to uphold the client's information as privileged, while maintaining all aspects of ICF ethics.
